Planning your trip to Singapore
Check your eligibility to stay at Connect@Changi

Connect@Changi is a pilot purpose-built facility for short stay accommodation designed for Singapore and international travellers to conduct business meetings and engagements in a safe and contained environment. The facility will offer an integrated 'test-stay-work-meet' experience for inbound business travellers.

Segregated Travel Lane/Connect@Changi lane travellers can stay up to 14 days in Singapore.

We are unable to host you if you are any of the following types of travellers:

  • Returning Singapore Citizen/Permanent Residents
  • Singapore Long Term Pass Holder
  • Family Members of Singapore Citizens/Permanent Residents

Until further notice, travellers who have travelled to the United Kingdom and South Africa within the last 14 days will not be eligible under the Connect@Singapore scheme.

You may find out if you are eligible for travel to Singapore on the Immigration & Checkpoint Authority's (ICA) Safe Travel website.

Booking of accommodation at Connect@Changi after eligibility check and before Safe Travel Office approval
Obtain the necessary approval to enter Singapore

Connect@Changi (your Host) will apply for the SafeTravel Pass under the Connect@Singapore scheme from the Safe Travel Office on your behalf.

Please ensure that your personal particulars are accurately provided during reservation.

Applications must be made between 14 and 35 calendar days prior to the traveller's intended date of entry into Singapore.

Kindly note that your stay at Connect@Changi is subject to approval of your SafeTravel Pass. Should approval not be granted, your booking with Connect@Changi will be cancelled with no penalty fees.

Application of Visa (if required)

Travellers who require a Visa to enter Singapore, have to secure a valid Visa upon receipt of their SafeTravel Pass approval, before departing for Singapore.

Such travellers are encouraged to apply for their Connect@Changi booking early so that their SafeTravel Pass can be secured in a timely manner. Information on visa requirements and application can be found on Immigration & Checkpoint Authority (ICA) website.

Before departing for Singapore
Obtain a negative COVID-19 PCR test result

Travellers who are approved to enter Singapore are required to take and obtain a negative pre-departure COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test result within 72 hours before their departure to Singapore.

A valid negative pre-departure COVID-19 PCR test result must be:

  • Emailed to frontoffice@connectatchangi.com within 72 hours before your arrival to Singapore as a final step to secure approval for your SafeTravel Pass
  • Presented to immigration officers upon entering Singapore
Travel History

Register and pay for your on-arrival COVID-19 PCR test online

Travellers will undergo an on-arrival COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival at Singapore Changi Airport.

Complete the SG Arrival Card online

To avoid delays during your immigration clearance, complete the SG Arrival Card online with your health, travel history and accommodation declarations.

Please do so no earlier than 3 days prior to your date of arrival in Singapore.

Confirm flight details for airport transfer

Kindly provide us with your scheduled flight arrival & departure flight number and timings for Connect@Changi to arrange your complimentary airport transfer.

You may only use the Connect@Changi airport transfer service to commute directly from the immigration checkpoint to the Connect@Changi accommodation. Use of public transport and/or other private services is not allowed.

COVID-19 travel insurance coverage (Recommended)

We recommend all travellers at Connect@Changi to have insurance that extends COVID-19 coverages.

A minimum of S$30,000 in coverage is recommended by the Ministry of Health (MOH) based on COVID-19 bill sizes at private hospitals, which is where inbound travellers typically receive care for Covid-19.

Download & activate the TraceTogether App

To aid digital contract tracing efforts, TraceTogether uses Bluetooth signals to approximate your distance to other TraceTogether devices nearby. We do not collect data about your GPS location, WiFi or mobile network.

All travellers to Singapore must download the TraceTogether app on their mobile device, and activate it by registering their mobile number and profile on the app.

Travellers who do not have a TraceTogether-compatible device will be provided a TraceTogether token upon arrival to Singapore.

The following groups are not required to download the TraceTogether app:

  • Children aged 12 years old or younger in that calendar year and travelling with a parent or guardian
  • Those unable to use a mobile device due to a certified disability and/or special need

On arrival to Singapore Changi Airport
Present these to immigration officer:

1. Passport with at least 6 months to expiry date

2. Valid SafeTravel Pass approval letter for the intended period of travel

3. Valid certificate of negative result of COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to departure, from a recognised institution

4. Singapore Arrival Card email acknowledgement

5. Valid visa (for visa-required visitors)

6. Mobile device with the TraceTogether app already downloaded and activated. Travellers who do not have a TraceTogether-compatible device will be provided a TraceTogether token.

Visitors who do not have all of the above may be refused entry into Singapore by the Singapore Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA).

COVID-19 PCR test on-arrival at Changi Airport

You are required to take a COVID-19 PCR test on-arrival at Singapore Changi Airport.

Upon approval of your SafeTravel Pass, please book and pay for this test separately via this link.

For guests staying at Connect@Changi for less than 48 hours

- please write in to airborder@rafflesmedical.com with your test booking number and arrival date to request for a test result memo at an additional cost for your on-arrival test at Singapore Changi Airport. If your test result is negative, this result memo can also serve as your Pre-Departure COVID-19 travel memo when departing from Singapore.

Take complimentary airport transfer to Connect@Changi

After the completion of your on-arrival COVID-19 PCR test, our staff will direct you to the pick-up point for your complimentary airport transfer to Connect@Changi.

You may only use the Connect@Changi airport transfer service to commute directly from arrival to Connect@Changi accommodation. Use of public transport and/or other private services is not allowed.

During your stay at Connect@Changi
On-Arrival Isolation at Connect@Changi

After check-in, guests are required to remain isolated within the designated room until their on-arrival COVID-19 PCR test is confirmed to be negative (up to 6 hours). After notifying Guest Service of their negative tests results, guests will be allowed to go about their activities within Connect@Changi.

COVID-19 diagnostic tests during your stay

You are required to take a COVID-19 PCR test on Days 3, 7 and 14 of your stay in Connect@Changi. The day your flight lands in Singapore is recorded as Day 1. The scheduled test may be shifted forward by 1-2 days in the event your date of departure falls on Days 3, 7 or 14.

In addition to the above tests, Connect@Changi may require you to undertake additional tests. This may include serology antibody test and additional COVID-19 PCR tests.

If your last scheduled COVID-19 PCR test is more than 48 hours from your flight departure time, we will schedule an additional pre-departure PCR test.

The costs of the required tests and additional tests pre-scheduled by Connect@Changi would have been included in the room rates.

Please note: If a guest tests positive for COVID-19 during his/her stay at Connect@Changi, we will follow all prevailing protocols and procedures (please click here) as laid out by the Singapore Ministry of Health. As a result, the guest will have to postpone his/her departure and onward journey from Singapore.

Submit travel cohort (if applicable)

If you are travelling as a travel cohort of up to 5 people including yourself into Connect@Changi, please indicate under remarks when booking for a meeting room.

Alternatively, send an email to frontoffice@connectatchangi.com  on who will be meeting each other in the same meeting room within the same hall.

Eligibility:

  • Can be from different flights/countries under the Connect@Singapore lane
  • Will not be able to remove people from the cohort during their period of stay

Departing Singapore
After leaving Singapore (for travellers on Connect@Singapore Safe Travel Lane)

To facilitate contact tracing, travellers are required to retain the TraceTogether app for 14 consecutive days after leaving Singapore. Should they subsequently be tested positive for COVID-19 within 14 days after leaving Singapore, they will be required to upload data in the app upon request by the Singapore Ministry of Health.
